Late Sunday afternoon the Parx Poker room saw something for the first ever...the bad beat jackpot got hit. Hit at a 1/2 NL Hold'em table around 4:30pm, a table full of players witnessed a runout that would make this Mother's Day a memorable one. On a board of Q Q 8 A 8, Peter Arnold rivered quad eights against the flopped four queens of Andrew Crews. This would set the room abuzz as the bad beat jackpot had been in place for a little over a month now. Here is the breakdown of the payouts, and our initial Tweet announcing the hit:
Peter Arnold - $72,695 (losing hand)
Andrew Crews - $36,347 (winning hand)
$10, 385 (table share)
