It looked as if Michael Matrone was a shoe in for the chiplead bonus, especially after winning a flip on his last hand of the night (55 > A10).  Once his chips were verified, the final number for Matrone would be 517,000.  The tournament director asked the remaining field if anyone had more than 517,000, and Val Zekser's hand immediately raised.  Zekser had over 530,000 and would earn himself an extra $1,000.
